Melissa Baveas says: We need funding for students to get in vocational work. Private registered training organisations are rampantly breaking the rules and there has beena huge government crack down on RTOs with many being closed. Also in terms of statistics according to the Training Services most RTOs are meeting compliance standards even after being notified of breaches... Also I have been at an RTO that does Sham contracting and currently in process of getting my super money back. Not to mention the manager smokes in the RTO indoors with the students there and I contacted NSW Health and because she owns the building they just advised her not to do it... I also told ASQA and nothing was done..... THIS IS WHY WE NEED TAFE. In what tafe classroom would you have the director smoking? In what tafe would you have sham contracting? And underpaid youth who are being paid under the minimum wage? SAVE OUR TAFE.
